We handle every detail of your LLC formation and ongoing compliance — so you can focus on building the business you deserve. Handled personally. Filed accurately. Done for you.
I graduated with a degree in Business Administration — with concentrations in Information Systems and Human Resources — ready to step into the career I had planned and worked for. Then the pandemic hit, and like so many others, that plan took a sharp and unexpected turn.
But that detour became a turning point. I looked around and saw talented, hardworking people in my community — people with real businesses, real ideas, real drive — struggling not because they lacked ambition, but because they lacked access. Access to the structures, the filings, the legal protections that keep a business standing when life gets hard.
I started The Lighthouse Collective because I wanted to bridge that gap. To normalize entrepreneurship in my community and prove that building something official and protected doesn't have to be complicated or cost-prohibitive. LLC formation, compliance, licensing assistance — these shouldn't be privileges reserved for people who can afford expensive attorneys. They should be available to everyone ready to build.
At The Lighthouse Collective, I handle every detail personally. I'm not a portal, a ticket system, or a call center. You get me, Keshaundra, — directly — every step of the way. From your first consultation through your annual compliance filings, I'm your partner in making your business official and keeping it protected.
Transparent, flat-rate pricing. State and licensing filing fees are always confirmed before submission and billed separately at cost — never marked up.

A DBA — also called a trade name or fictitious business name — lets you legally operate under a business name that is different from your own legal name. It does not create a new legal entity and does not provide personal liability protection.
A sole proprietorship is the simplest business structure — one person, fully in control, fully responsible. There is no legal separation between you and your business. A DBA is recommended only if you want to operate under a trade name or need a business name to open a bank account. It does not protect your personal assets.
If protecting your personal assets is a priority, forming an LLC is strongly recommended instead.
A Limited Liability Company (LLC) is the most popular structure for small business owners because it separates your personal assets from your business. If your business is sued or has debts, your personal bank account, home, and property are protected.
LLCs are flexible — they can have one owner or many, and profits pass directly to the owners' personal tax returns, avoiding double taxation. You can also elect S-Corp or C-Corp tax status down the road.
Most types of businesses can be an LLC. Banks and insurance companies are among the few exceptions.
A PLLC is a Limited Liability Company specifically designed for state-licensed professionals. It offers the same liability protection and tax flexibility as a standard LLC, but is required by many licensing boards when a professional wants to operate as a formal business entity.
You must hold an active professional license in your field to form a PLLC. Some states require proof of licensure at the time of filing. Members of a PLLC are not personally liable for the malpractice of other members.
Who needs a PLLC: medical professionals, therapists, counselors, social workers, attorneys, accountants, engineers, architects, and other state-licensed practitioners. Not available in all states — we'll confirm yours before filing.
A Limited Liability Partnership (LLP) is similar to an LLC but is used when two or more people want to co-own a business together with liability protection from each other's actions and debts. Each partner is shielded from the negligence or misconduct of the other partners.
A partnership agreement defines each partner's share of the business, their roles, and how decisions are made. Shares can vary but must total 100%. Profits and losses pass through to each partner's personal tax return.
Who it's for: professional groups co-owning a practice — law firms, medical groups, accounting partnerships, and consultants who want a partnership structure over an LLC. Some states restrict LLPs to licensed professions. We'll confirm availability in your state before filing.

An EIN (Employer Identification Number) is your business's federal tax ID — required to open a business bank account, hire employees, and file business taxes. The IRS offers free online applications for US residents.
We can obtain your EIN for you as part of our formation package or as a standalone service for $29. Non-US residents cannot apply online and must apply by mail or fax — we handle this process on your behalf.
